snubber resistor
In forward converters of switching power supply circuits, a large switch-back voltage is applied across the switch when it is turned off. To prevent this voltage from exceeding the voltage tolerance of the switch, a suppression circuit is inserted. This circuit is called a snubber circuit. Snubber circuits come in various types, such as CRD snubbers, CR snubbers, and diode snubbers. These circuits use resistors as components, which are called snubber resistors.
