fall time

When the input power is cut off in power circuits, etc., the output voltage decreases over time due to transient phenomena and eventually reaches 0. This refers to the time it takes for the output voltage to drop from 90% to 10%. It is one of the indicators of the transient characteristics when the input power is interrupted. The longer the fall time, the more stable the output is against instantaneous power failures or voltage drops of the input power. If the circuit has many capacitive components, the fall time tends to be longer due to the discharge time.
