Resistance
In electric circuits, it is a component that limits the flow of current in response to voltage, and the degree of resistance is determined by resistivity. It is one of the fundamental and important components that make up switching circuits. It is mainly used to control (step down) voltage, but power loss due to heat generation occurs. All materials have resistance; materials with very low resistance are used as conductors, and materials with very high resistance are used as insulators. A pure resistor allows an alternating voltage to produce a current with a similar waveform and in the same phase.
