Update on DOE VI Registration Information on the U.S. Department of Energy Website
28.9.2017
From Recent "Inquiries"
Since around March of this year, we have received many inquiries regarding the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) website, such as "I should have registered DOE VI information before, but I can't find it."
Registration Information Must Be Updated Annually
Since the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) issued a revised version of the EISA 2007 External Power Supply (EPS) energy efficiency standards on February 10, 2014 (effective from February 10, 2016), many power supply manufacturers have been submitting initial registration and other applications on behalf of their clients through the DOE's website after preparing the application data reports. It appears that the DOE automatically deletes any information that has been registered for more than one year from its website during its annual data cleanup around September 30. In addition, according to the content of U.S. federal safety regulations (10 CFR 430), when a product is imported into the U.S. and subject to random inspection by customs or the DOE, the registration information on the website is checked to see if it has been updated.
Therefore, we recommend that you ensure the registration period does not exceed one year and update the registration within the allowed period on the website.

Our Response Policy
Since our company is not an importer in the U.S., we ask customers to handle the DOE VI registration information updates themselves.
However, if the product in question falls under DOE VI at the time of registration, or if customers do not have the acquired data report, we can provide the necessary documents.
Note
The above is for reference only. Please make sure to confirm the official documents issued by the U.S. Department of Energy for details. Existing or prospective customers who believe this applies to them may check the product model name with us, and our staff will confirm whether the model is registered on the DOE website.
