We greatly appreciate your continued support.
Originally, our company had planned to observe the Spring Festival holiday from January 19 to February 2.
However, as widely reported in Japan, the spread of infection has progressed unexpectedly.
Following government directives, we have tentatively rescheduled the reopening of business to February 10 (as of January 29, 14:00).
On January 28, the government of Guangdong Province, where our company is located, issued a notice regarding the timing for businesses to resume operations after the Spring Festival holiday.
The original text (in Chinese) is attached below, but we have summarized the main points as follows:
1. Businesses are not permitted to resume operations before February 9 at 24:00, except for those involved in social infrastructure, medical services, essential daily supplies, or special circumstances.
2. Primary, middle, and high schools within the region must not start classes before February 17. Universities, vocational schools, and technical colleges must not resume before February 24.
3. Individuals returning to Guangdong Province before February 9 at 24:00 must have their health condition verified by their respective companies or organizations, and report any abnormalities.
4. All companies and schools are responsible for the health of their members. They must provide appropriate equipment and medical supplies, isolation areas, and ensure hygienic environments.
5. All residents must follow government instructions and thoroughly implement pneumonia prevention and control. Responsibility for enforcement lies with the heads of companies and schools.
As a result of carefully reviewing the above, it is evident that it is not possible for our company or even our suppliers to resume operations before February 9 at 24:00.
Accordingly, delays in the delivery schedule and other arrangements involving products previously communicated to our customers are now unavoidable.
Though this situation is caused by a natural disaster, we deeply regret the inconvenience and kindly ask for your understanding.
